P.S. The bunk bed railing didn't even make it one night before it got put back on. No- no one fell, but I started to get paranoid and Dan thought it was frankly ridiculous.
So there you go. Leave bunk bed railings where they are.
The end.

hahaha. I thought you were very brave to take it down. My husband would've said the same thing. And I too, would've been way too paranoid.
Just found your blog and I had to comment on the bunkbed thing. My boys have them too and I hate the constant state of "mess" that the bedding is in. It's hard for me to make the top bunk, I really can't expect little boys to make it nice, now can I?
I haven't done it yet, but I think the solution I'm going to do is to buy vibrant fitted sheets to match their room decor and then really nice matching sleeping bags to go on top. No messing with top sheets and comforters, no tucking in and coming untucked, and I think they can manage to straighten a sleeping bag out in the morning to have it look half way decent. Or heck, they can roll it up and leave it at the end of the bed.
BTW, I love the color of your bunks, ours are just stained, maybe I'm inspired to paint them now :)
